2.9. Samhita-1(సంహిత -1): On Samhita, Part 1

This is the first of the two-part essay written by  Sri Rayalu Vishwanadha on “Samhita”. Samhita is the first of four parts of every Veda, and forms the Veda’s core. While explaining that a meditation on the Samhita is extremely difficult without a study of the other parts of the Veda, viz. Brahmana, Aranyama and Upanishad, Sri Rayalu gives an interesting interpretation of the Vedic word “Samhita” by deriving its meaning of the word from the individual Aksharas that form the word. Using this, he provides an insight into the form and significance of the Vedic Samhita.

This is the ninth article of the second book. Click on the link below to download the article in PDF format.
